FAQ: What is the Monumental Ball?
A: It’s a celebration of our neighborhood. It’s a party where friends and neighbors have fun. It’s also a fund-raiser for the Morningside Lenox Park Association.

FAQ: When is it?
A: Friday, October 21, 7:00-11:00 p.m. at Magnolia Hall in Piedmont Park.

FAQ: Where does the money go?
A: Proceeds from the 2011 Monumental Ball go to the Security Patrol and the Monument Fund. You’re probably familiar with the Security Patrol and the great job they do for everyone in the neighborhood. The Monument Fund takes care of repairs and maintenance for the historic Ivey and Crook pillars that grace our neighborhood.

FAQ: Do I have to dress up?
A: Only if you want to. It’s a party. You should come dressed to have fun. You don’t have to wear anything fancy. You don’t have to wear a costume. Just be festive—whether that means a ball gown or blue jeans for you.

FAQ: Is the band any good?
A: Are you kidding? KINGSIZED is great! This band will put you back on boogie street.

FAQ: What about the food?
A: The food is elegant and delicious. Affairs to Remember is a Platinum Sponsor for the Monumental Ball. They're pulling out all the stops—it doesn’t get any better.

FAQ: What about drinks?
A: There will be a well-stocked cash bar. You will need cash, but you can purchase wine, beer, mixed drinks, soft drinks, and water. All proceeds from the cash bar benefit the Piedmont Park Conservancy.

FAQ: What about parking?
A: There is plenty of parking in the parking deck at Piedmont Park. And it’s just steps from Magnolia Hall where the Ball is held. It couldn't be easier.

FAQ: How much are tickets?
A: Tickets are $50 per person until October 1; then they’re $60 per person. You can buy them with a credit card online. You can buy them with a check or cash at several neighborhood locations. And you can buy them at the door with a credit card, check or cash (anything goes at the door).
